Good Morning!
Ok, so how is it that I JUST discovered the blog Sally’s Baking Addiction?!
I happened to see a recipe on Pinterest that I liked, so I re-pinned it, then clicked on the link to get the recipe. Well, as soon as I got to her website I seriously went PIN crazy. (don’t we all have those pin crazy days?! Haha! ) I think I pinned nearly every one of her recipes!!! All of the photos make me drool. I wish I could reach through my screen and try each & every one of her baked goods.
I have a bunch of recipes that I am dying to make, but this weekend I was looking for something quick, & easy to throw together.
I always like to have little snacks around the house, in those moments of ‘MUST. EAT. NOW.’ Having a newborn means that sometimes my meals are put on hold. It’s not that I don’t want to eat, I just completely forget to because it feels like we are going a mile a minute. So in times like those, it’s nice to have bite size snacks ready made.
My freezer is usually full of Healthy Bites, which are ALWAYS my go to snack. (let me know if you need any flavor suggestions, Lindsay has SO many great ones!) They are awesome, and they tide me over until I can eat a real meal.
Since my Healthy Bite supply was running low, I figured I would try to find a recipe for something similar. That’s when I came across Funfetti Granola Bites– packed with oats, natural sugars, & of course some sprinkles thrown in for fun. 🙂
I followed Sally’s recipe almost exactly, I just had to change the cake mix used because I didn’t have any yellow cake mix on hand. I also didn’t use quite as many sprinkles….I know, I’m a bore. 😉
Slightly Adapted Recipe Courtesy of Sally’s Baking Addiction
Funfetti Granola Bites
- 2 1/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup funfetti cake mix (the dry cake mix)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
Combine all ingredients into a large bowl. Stir well, until all oats are moistened. This will take some elbow grease!
Refrigerate mixture for AT LEAST 1 hour (preferably 2 – you want the whole mixture pretty stiff and stick together well). Remove from refrigerator and roll into balls. Enjoy!
I got about 3 dozen out of the recipe.
Not only are these DELICIOUS, but they are SUPER easy & quick to make!
These are definitely going to be on hand in our house at all times! The other thing I like is that there are so many variations that can be made from this recipe. I’m thinking next time I’ll add some chia seeds or flax to the mix…for some added nutrients 🙂
I am VERY MUCH looking forward to making more of Sally’s recipes this week. I already have two picked out to make today! G & I are going to be very busy in the kitchen this afternoon. I’m glad that my girl likes to cook, like her Momma. 😀
I hope you have a good Tuesday….hey, at least it’s not Monday, right?! 😉
Before I go, G wanted to say hi!
She hopes you have a GREAT day too 😉
You are the sweetest ever! And so is your baby girl. All those fantastic things you said about my recipe blog make me so excited. Thank you so much! And these granola bites look freakin’ awesome! Do I see you are wearing Ravens Jerseys in that photo? I live in Baltimore! Killer AMAZING game on Saturday night, right?! Insane. 🙂
Thank you Sally, I cannot tell you have MUCH I love your recipes!! YES! We are HUGE HUGE HUGE Ravens fans. We were engaged on the field, our wedding was Ravens, and our little girl is already a huge fan 😉

Hi Gabriella! 😉
Sally is great! I’m actually convinced she and I are long lost twins (our birthdays are even just a couple days apart!). But yes, her blog always makes me want to run to the kitchen, haha!
I *still* need to try Lindsay’s healthy bites. I bought her e-book a year ago thinking I’d make my own, but that hasn’t happened yet… I should just order some!
That is SO cool!!!!
You should order some- I highly recommend the PB Banana, Cookie dough, and Cranberry sugar cookie. Delish!
ok i might need to make these next! WOW!! And now i am checking out that site! oh and baby G, love her!
They were so good- but you know how much I LOVE my healthy bites 😉
Wow I’ve never seen her website either… love it!! thanks for sharing 🙂
Love baby G’s little face! I also just checked out your other post with her in the Ravens gear.. WAY TOO CUTE!! I’m rooting for them this weekend. I’d like to see Ray Lewis go out with a ring!
Thanks girl ❤ I'm SO glad you are rooting for the Ravens this weekend…I agree- he does need one more ring before he retires! 🙂
Wish you were my next door neighbor! I love to eat but not fond of baking, or cooking either. =( Cute pix of Baby G, & very fitting since she’s a ‘sweetie’ too. lol
Lori, If I could, I would send you some baked goods 🙂
Off to get sucked into the world of the internet. That website looks amazing. Baby G is adorable per usual and your nail color is cute as well!
You will TOTALLY be sucked in 😉
Oh I am very interested in the healthy bites. Do you make them or order them from her? What flavors do you like?
Melissa- You should DEFINITELY order some. Lindsay is AWESOME & will get your bites to you asap!
Flavors…oh goodness…there are so many & I feel like I Have a new favorite every time I get them. But my long running favorites are Peanut butter banana, cookie dough, cranberry sugar cookie, dark chocolate pumpkin & Oatmeal raisin. (If you like oatmeal raisin cookies, they are almost identical, just rolled into balls) Let me know if you end up trying them- I know you won’t be disappointed!!
